Good to know
What Stayant doesn’t do yet, so you can decide before you start:
- Hires start and finish at the boat’s home base. One-way hires and multiple bases aren’t supported.
- There’s no induction checklist or sign-off; handling and safety information lives in the guidebook.
- Damage deposits can be charged and refunded, but not held on the hirer’s card.
✦ Questions
Frequently asked
Can I take a damage deposit?
You can add a refundable charge that the hirer pays and you refund after the hire. Holding it on the card without charging isn’t supported yet.
Can hirers read the boat handbook in advance?
Yes. Each boat can have a guidebook that hirers see in their guest portal as soon as they book.
Can I set weekly and short-break hires?
Yes. Set minimum hire lengths by date range, for example seven nights in summer and three or four out of season.
